Luss Advent Fair Returns!
The Luss Advent Fair returned this year in support of NAEF and raised a record-breaking sum!
The Luss Christmas Fair was a resounding success and raised a fantastic £3,818 for St George’s School.
The Fair has become an integral part of the Luss annual calendar and was a fantastic show of support for NAEF and St George’s school. It was opened by the rousing pipes of the Helensburgh Clan Colquhoun Pipe Band who played a medley of tunes. Local businesses were integral to the fair with lots of stalls offering handmade crafts, baked goods, artworks, textiles, handmade candles, Christmas wreaths and more. The fair included a raffle as well as beautiful carols from the Hermitage Junior School Choir and Ukelele Band with lots of support from families and friends.
This Christmas celebration brought residents and visitors together with a shared purpose to raise funds for the Northwood African Education Foundation, supporting the education and wellbeing of vulnerable children at St George’s School in Gondar, Ethiopia. Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended £2,818 was raised on the day. Even more excitingly, a portion of this total was included in the Big Give campaign, which doubled donations made during the Big Give week - bringing the final amount raised to an amazing £3,818.
Thank you to all the stallholders, volunteers, performers, and visitors who helped make the Luss Christmas Fair such a success. Your hard work and commitment to the fair not only brought joy to our community but also a meaningful impact to the community and children of St George’s School in Gondar, Ethiopia.
